- Just as in the Beginning, God spoke:
Greens - And the spirit of God moved on the
face of the waters. And God said
Corn Bread - let there be light and there
was light.
Meat - And God saw the light that it was good.
- With the introduction of his Son, God spoke:
Greens - And Jesus, when he was baptized,
went up straightway out of the water:...And lo
a voice from heaven saying,
Corn Bread - This is my beloved Son (the bread
of life, the light of the world),
Meat – In whom I (God) am well pleased.

What we are now going to address is how Christ showed us that fulfillment of God’s love through the Holy Spirit. How he demonstrated through his actions, words, and parables that the true meaning of love is giving, forgiving and living in the completeness operating within this JSF cycle, the cycle of God’s love. How through the Holy Spirit, he has made available for man that deep, forgiving and fulfilling love that is now transforming man into spirit-filled beings created to return that love to God. And how all this was/is being done through the internal cross that God established at the beginning, which is also the core of the JSF diagram.

Jesus the Christ began his ministry right in the transforming waters of the Jordan River, in the greens. This is why we title this second book, Just Soul Food-Collard Greens. Because here we are going to literally and graphically illustrate how Christ, in the New Testament, came out of the waters of the greens, to bring full circle the transformation of God’s love into man and back to God.

God is intimately connected to his people in an all-inclusive circle representing the Spirit of love. His Son Christ carried that divine love that is often pictured as a cycle of love or halo over his head and it also encircled his heart. And at the inner most core of that cycle, God in Christ, would show forth that which ties all these circular, soul food elements together, a receiving, accepting, nurturing, transforming, forgiving love manifested on a cross.
